Rubber mats are the easiest of all our products to maintain. They handle aggressive cleaning that would damage fabric pile, which is part of why they're the right choice for high-debris environments.

Day-to-day cleaning

• Sweep or hose down weekly. A quick sweep removes loose debris; a garden hose handles caked-on dirt.
• Lift the mat occasionally to let the floor underneath dry. Trapped moisture is the most common cause of premature mat failure across all materials.

Deep cleaning (monthly or as needed)

1. Scrub with a deck brush using a neutral pH detergent.
2. Rinse thoroughly with a hose or pressure washer.
3. Lay flat or hang to dry. The mat is fully usable again as soon as it's no longer dripping.

Industrial laundering (optional)

For hospitality, food service, or industrial settings where deep periodic cleaning matters, SuperScrape can be commercially laundered:

1. Flush 2–3 minutes, medium water level, cold water
2. Break 5–10 minutes, high water level, 49°C
3. Rinse 2 minutes, high water level, cold water (repeat once)
4. Drain 2 minutes
5. Lay flat after removal — allow to cool before rolling for storage

What rubber mats can take

What to avoid

• ✗ Solvents containing acetone or aromatic hydrocarbons
• ✗ Long-term direct UV exposure when stored (causes rubber to harden over years — not a problem during normal entrance use)
• ✗ Folding for storage — always roll, never fold (folding can crease the rubber)
